1Not worth the trouble
By Dan W.
I bought this in the Spring to ride a couple blocks to school. I didn't need anything fancy - just a bike that worked. For the price, I took the risk of ordering online. Huffy is a name brand, and, having owned their bikes in the past, I trusted them over the other cheap bikes available.

The instructions are completely generic. They mention 3-4 different models and don't go into detail about the differences or even about the construction itself.

Assembly was simple but not easy. Most parts were already in-place. Only the big parts (handle bars, seat, wheels, and pedals) needed to be attached. Be warned: No tools are included, so you will need proper screwdrivers and hex wrenches (I wish I could say what size, but I no longer have the bike - more on that soon). The shaft where the handlebars go is very tight, so putting them on took some effort. The seat and pedals gave me no trouble.

The wheels were where I had the real problems. The back wheel refused to fit into the notches - the frame was just too narrow. I'm ashamed to say it probably took me more than two hours to finally get this thing together. Both wheels wobbled as they spun. On my first [very cautious] test-ride, I got about 200 yards before the handlebars came loose from all the wobbling.

I contacted the seller who directed me to Huffy's warehouse. Huffy sent out two new wheels. After changing the tires and tubes to the new wheels, I wrestled with the bike to install them. Without proper instructions, it took another couple of hours to get them on in what looked to be an acceptable way. It seemed that again the wheels had been bent in shipping, except this time the wobble was exponentially worse, and it was impossible to adjust the brakes to a useable position. I didn't make it through the 50-yard parking lot on this test ride. I figured later that perhaps the frame itself could have been bent slightly when it was shipped.

As for the bike's pros, the frame seemed pretty solid. As far as I can tell, it was a decent cheap bike that simply got damaged by the shipper. If I had seen this model properly assembled in a store, I still would have bought it. Unfortunately, I have no proof that the bike actually works, and that is why I have to give it one measly star.

I'll have to do my bike shopping somewhere I can drive to return it. If you absolutely must order a bike online, Amazon is the right place - their customer service is fantastic.

1Broke down in two days
By Hayden V
Honestly this is day 2. And I just went off to ride, and the backtire unravels off the rim! The handle bar would never stay in place, but i was just planning to fix it on my own, but now the tire! I'm in the US Military. Ive been walking around everywhere for 2 years, thought a bike would be nice. I do not recomend this at all

4good bike for the price
By Thomas Leon Simpson
very nice bicycle, although in the description it says it's a five speed,
actually its a 15 speed. not to hard to assemble, pretty much assembled out of the box
just attach front wheel, pedals, seat, and handlebar, your good to go. The tires
are even fully inflated.
